Review of menu board labelling requirements considers introduction of new requirements into Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code

In some Australian jurisdictions, fast food restaurant outlets and other chains must comply with menu board labelling laws which require them to display kilojoule information on menu items. The Food Regulation Standing Committee began conducting a review of the regulatory framework for menu board labelling in Australia. In April 2021, it opened the review to public consultation. This article addresses the options available.
