New draft standards on cell-based meat
With an increasing global appetite for meat and meat products, companies are turning to alternative production methods to meet global demand. Environmental regulation has also placed greater pressure on meat production that is less land intensive such as cell-based meat. Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) recently released draft standards on cell cultured quail and cell-based meat broadly.
