Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997
The Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act (TTMRA) is an arrangement negotiated years following after Mutual Recognition Arrangements between various Australian jurisdictions and the New Zealand Government. Section 10 of the TTMRA provides that goods produced or imported into New Zealand that are able to be sold lawfully in New Zealand, can be sold in Australia without needing to comply with certain Australian requirements.
