Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code 2021
The Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code 2021 specifies requirements for advertisements about therapeutic goods so that advertisements: - promote the safe and proper use of the therapeutic goods by minimising misuse, overuse or underuse - are ethical and do not mislead or deceive the consumer or create unrealistic expectations about the performance of the therapeutic goods - support informed health care choices; and - are not inconsistent with current public health campaigns. The Code came into effect on 1 January 2022. Advertisers have a 6-month transition period until 30 June 2022 to comply with the Code. Registered 29 November 2021
