Proposal P1054 - Pure and highly concentrated caffeine products (2nd Call for Submissions)

On 12 December 2019, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Board approved a variation to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code) after considering an urgent proposal to prohibit the retail sale of pure and highly concentrated caffeine food products. Under the urgent proposal provisions, FSANZ has assessed the resulting variation and is calling for submissions to help FSANZ decide whether to reaffirm the variation or to prepare a proposal to amend or repeal the variation.
