Proposal M1017 - Maximum Residue Limits (2019) (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed a Proposal prepared by FSANZ to consider varying (including some deletions) Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for residues of agricultural and veterinary chemicals in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code). A draft food regulatory measure has been prepared. On 5 December 2019, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received two submissions. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 29 April 2020. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 12 May 2020.
