Proposal M1016 - Maximum Residue Limits (2018) - Approval Report

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed a Proposal prepared by FSANZ to consider varying (including some deletions) Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for residues of agricultural and veterinary chemicals in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code) and has prepared a draft food regulatory measure. On 11 December 2018, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received two submissions and one late comment. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 1 May 2019. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 15 May 2019.
