<p>The Country of Origin Labelling Information Standard 2016 came into effect on July 1, 2016. Based on the information in this standard, there are a number of questions a producer of food must ask themselves in order to decipher the most applicable country of origin statement to use for their product. </p><p>This compliance step should be used as an overview to help you determine which type of mandatory origin applies to the product, depending on how the product is categorised and sold.
