New Zealand Systematic Review of a Food-Health Relationship

Guidance document published by the Ministry for Primary Industries in February 2016. // The document is to act as a supplement to the guidance document written by FSANZ 'Guidance on establishing food-health relationships for general level health claims' which provides information to guide food businesses in establishing a causal relationship between a food or property of food and health effect (food-health relationship) by process of a systematic review for the purpose of making a general level health claim. This document contains more detail and more examples of each of the requirements of the systematic review outlines in Schedule 6 of Standard 1.2.7. This guidance document should be used in conjunction to the Implementation Subcommittee for Food Regulation (ISFR) health claims working group 'Getting Your Claims Right - A guide to complying with the Nutrition, Health and Related Claims Standard of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code'.
