3.     In this September 2026 edition of FoodLegal Bulletin

Our FREE article “Current developments in food law and policy in Australia and internationally” provides the latest regulatory developments and updates. There have been many news developments over the past month and it is vital to read these updates. FoodLegal can advise businesses on the impact of specific updates to their particular situation and also in relation to any particular products.

In “Marketing and regulatory issues for ‘ultraprocessed’ foods” we explore the definition of an ultraprocessed food in an Australian and international context, the processing and marketing considerations for Australian businesses, and whether a mandatory Health Star Rating system could in fact encourage greater food processing.

In “The regulation of peptides in Australia”, we address important regulatory questions involved in the use and marketing of peptide products, include where products with peptides sit in the food-medicine interface.

In “Impact of technological challenges on proposed therapeutic advertising code changes”, we examine how the Therapeutic Goods Administration seeks to address current digital trends through proposed updates to its advertising requirements for therapeutic goods.

We hope you enjoy this September 2026 edition of FoodLegal Bulletin!
