Application A1190 - 2′-FL in infant formula and other products (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed an application by Chr. Hansen A/S1. The Application is seeking to permit the voluntary addition of 2′-fucosyllactose (2′-FL), produced via new genetically modified Escherichia coli BL21 strains, in infant formula products (which includes infant formula, follow-on formula and infant formula products for special dietary uses) and formulated supplementary foods for young children.
