Application A1169 - Alpha-Glucosidase from Trichoderma reesei as a processing aid (Enzyme) (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed an application made by DuPont Australia Pty Ltd to permit the use of alpha-glucosidase (α-glucosidase) enzyme from a genetically modified strain of Trichoderma reesei as a processing aid. On 20 June 2019, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received two submissions. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 21 October 2019. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 25 October 2019.
