Application A1157 - Enzymatic production of Rebaudioside M (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed an application made by Blue California to seek approval for a new specification for rebaudioside M produced by an enzymatic conversion method. On 20 July, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received ten submissions. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 31 October 2018. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 12 November 2018.
