Application A1115 – Irradiation of Blueberries & Raspberries (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed an Application made by the NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) to irradiate blueberries and raspberries for phytosanitary purposes. On 29 June 2016, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received 35 submissions. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 19 October 2016. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation (Forum) was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 25 October 2016.
