Application A1108 - Rebaudioside M as a Steviol Glycoside Intense Sweetener (Approval Report)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed an application made by PureCircle Limited to permit rebaudioside M to be added to the current list of permitted steviol glycosides used as intense sweeteners. On 29 June 2015, FSANZ sought submissions on a draft variation and published an associated report. FSANZ received nine submissions. FSANZ approved the draft variation on 28 October 2015. The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation (Forum) was notified of FSANZ’s decision on 3 November 2015.
