ACCC v H.J. Heinz Company [2018]

On 19 March 2018 the Federal Court found that H.J. Heinz made a misleading or deceptive health claim that its Little Kids Shredz products were beneficial to the health of children aged 1-3 years. They held that H.J. Heinz ought to have been aware that healthy food representations had been conveyed and that they were misleading or deceptive and thus section 18(1) and 29(1)(g) of the Australian Consumer Law were breached.
