Application A1190 - 2'-FL in infant formula and other products - Call for Submissions

Pursuant to section 31 of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 (FSANZ Act), FSANZ now calls for submissions to assist FSANZ’s consideration of the draft food regulatory measure it has prepared in response to an application originally submitted by Jennewein Biotechnologies GHmb1. The application is seeking to permit the voluntary addition of 2′-fucosyllactose (2′-FL), produced via a new genetically modified Escherichia coli strain, in infant formula products (which includes infant formula, follow-on formula and infant formula products for special dietary uses) and formulated supplementary foods for young children.
