In August 2006, FoodLegal Bulletin discussed the legal regulation of salt in Australia. Since then, increasing concerns over the negative health effects of salt have altered the the current state of play as well as proposals on the horizon which may affect regulation and labelling of salt in foods in Australia. This article considers these new developments.
